Users of the websites Lingonika and Lingonika (hereinafter referred to as Lingonika website) may sign up/ register on the Lingonika websites when they want to work for/with Lingonika, which requires them to provide certain details of a personal nature.
This Privacy Policy applies to Lingonika websites and other interactions (e.g. surveys, information about translator conferences, etc.) that the User (Data Subject) may have with Lingonika. Lingonika only works with service providers that have a contract with Lingonika. If Lingonika does not receive the required data, no contract will be established, precluding any possibility of establishing a working relationship. If you do not agree with the terms, you cannot access or use the services, websites or any other aspect of Lingonika’ business.

Accuracy and veracity of the data that has been sent: The User guarantees that the personal data provided to Lingonika is true and accurate and is responsible for notifying Lingonika of any modification made to it. The User has recognised and may exercise his/her rights to access, rectify, cancel or object to it.
Legal basis for collection and handling: The legal basis for collection and handling is the User’s consent. Such data processing is necessary for a contract to be established with Lingonika, and for managing the service provision relationship between the User and Lingonika.
Purposes: The purpose of the collection and automated handling of personal data is to maintain the relationship established between the User and Lingonika:
- For the management of his/her data so that it can be analysed by partners of Lingonika who are interested in his/her professional profile in order to offer services to customers of Lingonika, which may include the services offered by the User;
- Or for managing, administering, rendering, extending or improving the services for which the User has registered, including registration itself, or using the aforementioned services in a manner suited to the preferences and tastes of Users, examining the Users’ usage of the services, designing new services related to other services provided by Lingonika, and sending updates about these services.
Transfer of data outside the European Union: The data registered by Lingonika is for internal use only by its Partners, and has as its sole aim the management of language service projects, from the establishment of a Language Services Contract with the User for the provision of services to the management of and payment for these services. Lingonika has no intention of transferring the data to other parties, whether inside or outside the European Union, except if required by law.
Exercising rights to access, rectify, cancel and object to the data: The User may exercise his/her rights to access, rectify, cancel and object to the data by informing Lingonika through its Data Protection Officer, by sending an email to info@lingonika.com, or by post addressed to Lingonika Limited, Suite 19, Charter House, Courtlands Road, Eastbourne BN22 8UY, United Kingdom.
Expiration of data on file: No expiration date has been defined for keeping the data on file. The User may exercise his/her right to have his/her personal data removed from Lingonika’ database by sending an email to info@lingonika.com, or by post addressed Lingonika Limited, Suite 19, Charter House, Courtlands Road, Eastbourne BN22 8UY.
Security measures: Lingonika has adopted the personal data protection security levels that are legally required and has implemented all of the means and technical measures in its power to prevent the loss, undue use, alteration, unauthorised access or theft of personal data. However, the User must be aware that internet security measures are not impregnable.
Acceptance and consent: The User declares that he/she has been duly informed of the conditions relating to the protection of personal data and has accepted and consented to handling this data by Lingonika in the manner and for the purposes indicated in this Personal Data Protection Policy.
Complaints: The User (data subject) may lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority to enforce his/her rights, as specified above.
