1. What kind of translation services do you offer?
We specialise in certified (sworn) translations in all language pairs. Our services also include general, legal and medical translation, localisation, editing, website content checks and creation, subtitling, and closed captioning. We work with both private and business clients and are happy to tailor our services to your needs.
2. Are your translations accepted by UK and EU authorities?
Yes. Our certified translations are accepted by UK courts, the Home Office, solicitors, and most EU institutions. If you’re unsure whether your case requires certification, just ask – we’ll be happy to advise.
3. How quickly can you complete a translation?
That depends on the length, type, and complexity of the document. Short texts can often be delivered within 1–2 business days. For urgent matters, we offer express services — just let us know your deadline when requesting a quote.
4. Do you offer proofreading or editing services?
Yes, we do. We provide professional proofreading and editing services for legal, academic, technical, and marketing content — either as part of a translation project or as a standalone service.
5. How much does a translation cost?
Certified translations are typically priced at £45 per A4 page, including certification. Other translations are charged per word or per hour depending on the type of text. For business clients or larger projects, we provide tailored quotes and volume-based pricing.
6. How can I send you my documents?
You can email us scanned or photographed documents at info@lingonika.com. We do not require original copies unless specifically requested by the receiving institution. You’re welcome to visit our office by appointment if a physical copy is needed.
7. How do I pay?
We accept bank transfers and PayPal. For larger or ongoing projects, we may issue monthly invoices. Payment details will be included in your quote or confirmation email.
8. Do you work with law firms and other companies?
Yes, regularly. We collaborate with law firms, solicitors, notaries, insurance companies, academic institutions, and government bodies. We offer priority processing, consistent quality, and monthly invoicing options for business clients.
9. Who are your translators?
Our team consists of highly qualified professional translators — many of them sworn translators — with specialisations in law, medicine, business, and more. Every linguist we work with is carefully vetted and has proven expertise in their field.
10. What makes Lingonika different?
We’re a boutique agency: small enough to offer personalised service, and experienced enough to deliver reliably, even under pressure. We value quality, direct communication, and long-term relationships over quantity or automation. When you work with us, you know exactly who is handling your project — and why it matters to them.
